Hello everyone. Need help with an issue I am having. My apologies if this gets long winded.
I recently had Lion installed on my computer with SMC Fan Control installed.
Last week I did a clean install with Mavericks, and reformatted the Hard Drive before the install. I decided not to reinstall SMC Fan Control, as I did not like the program.
But since the clean install of Mavericks, I have noticed that my fan will not kick into high gear when my mack gets overheated.
Is this a known issue with SMC Fan Control? I read somewhere on Google that SMC changes protocols in the terminal, but if I did a clean install and reformat of the hard drive shouldn't the terminal be reset? If not is there a way to get SMC of my mac for good, so that the fan will function properly?
If anyone can advise me on this, I'd be grateful. Thanks!
