Gotta few questions for all you Apple experts.

When do we think the 2019 macbook pros are coming out (are we still assuming WWDC)?

If im still within the return period is it worth it to return my 2018 fully speced and wait - i do have a laptop i could use for the time being..?

Im nervous also about the early adopter period where apple drops the ball on new designs.

Advice ?

That’s such a personal choice to make that it is near impossible for anyone but you to come up with the right answer for you.

If it was me, especially with the hindsight of my own experience with the 2018 models, if I had a serviceable computer I would probably wait to see what the 2019 models bring.

But I also realize that my own experiences don’t reflect that of the majority and if you need one now or are enjoying your current one with no problems, do you want to return it with the hope that 2019 brings something that may or may not be markedly better or not have early adopter/first release issues of its own?

Hard to say the grass will be greener when we don’t even know what kind of lawn it will be yet :)

Best of luck with whatever you decide and may your decision bring you peace of mind, either way you go :)

I can only say that our experience with 2018 MBPs has been good. We skipped the 2016 and 2017, and went right from 2015. We had also skipped the 2012-2014 retinas and their issues when we bought the 2015s. Seems like it takes Apple 2 or 3 years with a new form factor to work out the kinks. Sort of like car manufacturers.

WWDC is when people are hoping to see a new laptop.

The old adage of waiting until you absolutely need a computer fits well here. If you don't need it, then you are almost always better off waiting.

Not for nothing, we are year 3 into a design right now and Apple is still having issues with the design. I would hold off for very reason that the keyboard design is flawed.
