I have gunk all over the corners of the camera lenses and you can’t see it on camera but there is smudges all around the flash and lidiar scanner. I have tried using a cloth to clean the smudges with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

I dab a corner of a microfiber towel in water then wipe with the dry part. Dampening it, not overly saturating it

I tried the q-tip and I think it made it worse. These smudges do not want to disappear. :/
If it is dirt type debris that has been on there for a good while, it should come right off. Your close up pictures make it look like simple day to day debris build up.

Edited to add: I just checked the back of my phone and it was slightly directly around the lense areas as well. A q-tp barely wet cleaned off with no problems.

I use the snubby end, not the brush, of one of these:

Works for me.

Surely this post won’t get deleted.

Try taking a few drops of dishwashing liquid in a small glass of water, then take a microfiber cloth and dampen a corner with the dish liquid water mixture, then try cleaning the gunk off the lenses,

isopropyl alcohol usually dries too quickly, and can leave streaks, and could also remove any coating that’s supposed to be on the lenses

Sounds like a recipe for disaster waiting to happen, dishwashing liquid shouldn't go anywhere near your phone.

I’ve been a professional photographer since 1993, and have been cleaning smudges from camera lenses like this for decades...

You’re only using a few drops not a lot of liquid

Interesting, still not game enough to use dishwashing liquid on my camera lens, never had issues with cleaning camera lens on my iPhones before, blow a bit of air around the camera then wipe it on my t shirt or with a soft cloth, recommend the op go to a apple store, let them take care of it.

Looks like lint build up in that photo, i always make sure their is no lint in my pocket before phone goes into my pocket.

Should be no more than very slight image softening if noticeable at all I expect, the smear will be miles out of focus.
No i only asked because you really shouldn’t clean a lens too often, the lens cleaning pen works really well, but the few drops of dish liquid only breaks the surface tension of the water and is a lot safer then using isopropyl alcohol, but if you’re going to attack a lens with isopropyl you should also heavily dilute that as well, any lens cleaning liquid that uses isopropyl alcohol only contain about 2-5%, anything higher can damage the lens elements

I use either Ringke Pre Moistened Wipes or Carl Zeiss Pre Moistened Wipes to clean mine. Does the job most of the time.

Here is the image with the smudges all around the camera glass. I can’t seem to get them removed.
