Need advise on iPhone 4

Hi.. Im from India.
I would like to buy one iPhone 4 .
Heard that in US, we can get factory unlocked iPhone 4 for 550$.
So, its that true ?
Does it come with a valid invoice ?
Does it come with Apple warranty ?

Is unlocked and Jailbroke the same words ?

And does it work on GSM 900 band, as Indian uses that band ?

You cannot buy a factor unlocked phone in the US at all (officially, some people may sell imported ones): they are all carrier locked. You can buy unlocked phones in the UK, Canada, France, Italy and others. They cost a lot more than $550 (in the UK it's £600 for an unlocked 32Gb phone).

There is no USD price. Only GBP. As the exchange rate varies continuously it'd be unwise to bother converting.

OK, I'm beginning to think this is a windup/trolling. You must be aware of the supply issues regarding white iPhones: there are none to date. Black ones? They might have them in stock, they might not. They tend to sell out reasonably quickly so there is no guarantee.

If a store does not have stock they won't take your money. Apple can only make so many a month and they are selling fast enough that there is more demand than supply.

Phoning them is useless. They will just tell you they have no stock and they dont know when new stock will come in. You can see how bad the situation in London is - just read these threads:

We have a courier company here in India , who makes the shipping easier. I have never personally used them, but they say, they can make it happen for me.

All, I have to do is, order the iPhone 4 32GB direct from Apple UK Online Store, which says, 3 weeks.
Then Apple directly sends it to my courier company's UK address,
Once it reaches it, they will ship it from there to my Indian address.

So, I can order it fine from Apple Online Store now, right ?
