I have an iPad app that I want to see:

    1. How long the user is active on the app
    2. If the app gets deleted.

That's all I'm looking towards for now... Would I use Parse or Google analytics?

I use flurry. You can't tell if it's deleted though. I don't think any service will tell you that.

Last app I used GA (lots of custom event trackers), but I’m definitely going to give Flurry a consideration next time around.

To answer the question: there’s not really any way to tell - and funny enough, we looked for ways to solve this too - the best thing you can do is to determine use vs. non-use and set some metric that you call disengaged (or uninstalled). You can also report a version upstream and determine uptake speed on new versions as a soft indicator of interest.

Thanks for the advice. I programmed Parse into it for now. I'm assuming the update won't come out until after the break.

However, this app I released "Print 2 Script" (free with iAd) is a handwriting app. Last week it released and the average 30 downloads, then 3, then 2 another day..

I looked at iTunes connect this morning and it said 5,009 from yesterday! Shocked in an awesome way.

This has got to be a mistake? Does Apple ever make a mistake or possibly a school downloaded it? Is there anyway I can find out what state in the USA downloaded it? I know one school system wanted it but they only have about 900 iPads.

    Thanks for the help
