I need an app that can help me find, compare and delete duplicate or similar files. I need to be able to set different criteria for what is considered a duplicate or similar file, such as file name, size, date etc. So I want to be able to find files where the name is the same but size is different, or where size and date is the same but name is slightly different.

I also want serious auto-mark features so that I can bulk select files for deletion. To be able to set a priority order for folders is a must. As well as a list of rules that can be set to my preference, such as lower resolution gets selected or oldest date etc.

For photos I use PhotoSweeper which works very well. I'm looking for something similar for all types of files. Today I've tried Duplicate Detective, DupeGuru, Duplicates Cleaner, but none had the features I need. The closest was Gemini, but it didn't have enough settings to easily auto-mark the files for deletion.

hi, i think it is difficult to find the duplicates, which have different size but content is same. the algorithm of most applications, are comparing the size and name to detect the duplicates.

I'm agree with Dana Cline. It's a deep user-defined rule for the duplicates as you said. I haven't seen a duplicates finder supports this feature.
