Could someone suggest a easy and cheap App that will allow me to watch WMV files. I get emails all of the time that contain WMV files and I cannot watch them.
Thanks

Perian I believe will play WMV files in QT - and it is free!

And if that doesn't work then use Flip4Mac - it is great too!

Hope that helps

Definitely get Perian if you don't already have it - it let's QuickTime play a ton more filetypes. VLC and Mplayer are two good tools to have as well! All are no-cost.

Perian will play .wmv just fine, plus a bunch of other file types. No need to install flip4mac.
Perian doesn't play .wmv files. That's Flip4Mac that does that.

edit: good heavens... the forums software won't even let us capitalize the acronym for Video LAN Client ??? (sheesh)

Movist also plays pretty much everything out there and is less clunky than either VLC or QT for my money. Some online streamed broadcasts coded in WMV will require Flip4Mac, though.
