Hello! Trying to find the best answer to this question and figured this was the best option!! So last week I got a phone call from Apple in Austin about a position in the finance dept. (This was month after I sent in my resume) So after the first 20 min. conversation I was set up for another phone interview which I did have for an hour two days later. After I asked when/if I would hear back and I got "call backs will be made". They both went very well (I think) and yet here I am 11 days later and still havent heard anything back. So now comes the part I need help with. Should I just relax and wait for this to happen if it ever will, or should I give it a few days and give them a call? Does anyone have any prior experience that would help me out here? Should I wait till next week to hear something back? HELP!!!!! ( I think the worst part is just not knowing, even if I dont get it atleast if I knew then I could get it off my mind! **But I really want this job!!:)**

    First, don't bump threads.

Second, I wouldn't hold my breath for the position. Did they mention during the process when you might start, or hear something back?

Well, I don't have much experience. But, I would give them a call, I think it would show that you are really interested in the job.

Not really. It was pretty vauge actually, I just asked if I was going to be contacted and she said "---- will be making call backs next week sometime". Next week being last week, but maybe she meant this week. I know that they are looking to fill the position very soon, I asked in the first interview.

I do not want to look desperate, guessing I should just chill until next Monday. Sorry bout the bump.

Theres a difference between looking desperate, and looking like you are interested in a job.

I don't have much experience here either, but I've always heard that it is better to call back and look like you are interested. If you look desperate, so what? They won't not hire you just because you are 'desperate.' If you're the right person for the job, they'll hire you. If you aren't, they won't. Especially in these economic times, I'm sure those that hire at Apple understand people want jobs.

I'd call, and see if any progress was being made. Don't call too often. Maybe today, and again on Friday or something. Just be sure not to call too often... Like every business day, or every other business day. That would be calling too often, I think.

I would highly recommend you call soon. They may think you've lost interest in the position.

Also did you send a thank you letter to your interviewer?

See thats just it, I would have but I have nothing but a phone number and the names of who I spoke with. Very odd I know, but I had only a phone interview, and only had communication thru phone calls. I will give a call tom. any idea what I should say to them? lol I just dont want to make it seem like I'm being rude by calling them.
