Waiting on a new 2020 27" iMac and wanted to know what should be stress tested before the return period ends.

I know I should test the memory and screen for dead pixels but what else? Any other things I am missing?

Also what software can you use to test the screen for dead pixels?

And what software does everyone recommend to test the memory?

Thanks in advance!

Techtool Pro has a lot of tests, including some simple screen tests.

But why are you worrying about it? If there is a problem it would be fixed under the standard 1 year warranty, even longer with AppleCare.

Thanks for that! Will check it out!

I stress test all my electronics out of the box and return if they don’t perform. Why spend money on something that isn’t 100% right out of the box. And that is not even factoring the time and potential lost productivity waiting on a repair or replacement.
