Don't sell your Mini to a company, especially Best Buy. Hell, I'll give you $200 for it
I've been looking at the Minis selling on eBay recently, and figure I can get about a grand for mine (it's really tricked out). Granted you probably don't have SSDs in RAID, but you should still be able to get at least $400 for yours, especially if it's in mint condition (bonus points if you have the box).
Don't mosey around, word on the street is a new Mac Mini is just around the corner (as in sometime in the next month).... but definitely sell it privately (eBay, Craigslist, Amazon, etc.).
I wouldn't wait around for the Air; even if a Retina Display Air came out sometime in the next few months, there's more setting the Air and Pro apart. The speakers, HDMI out, and an extra Thunderbolt 2 port make the Pro superior to the Air imo. All the Air has going for it is a very modest weight difference.
The just-now-released Macbook Pro w/Retina Display has a 200MHz speed boost on the processor, and the base model (128GB SSD) now comes with 8GB of RAM. So now the only difference between the three models is the SSD (128GB, 256GB and 512GB). I implore you to get at least the 8/256GB model to provide *some* futureproofing (in case you found a 4/128GB model somewhere and you're thinking about buying it).
Anyway, I'm glad my rant/post was helpful!
