Hey, having same issue, my current hard drive is being almost full
i have a ton of multimedia data and i need about 4 tb as storage.
the thing is external hard drive costs the least but excludes the ability of sharing data through network
NAS is a bit complicated to me
Lacie Cloudbox is another great find after some research, price is ok, its beautiful design that amazes me
however it only runs through Ethernet connection + speed transfer seems to be freaking slow

my use is pretty simple: downloading multimedia on my computer then transferring and copying to an external storage, i also own smartphone and PS3 and wish watch / listen some movies / musics through network / storage

what would you recommend?

thanks

Drobos are expensive. You need to know your stuff, but I'm buying a 24 bay enclosure for $300 and building a server to replace my Windows Home Server box.

WHS was pretty great until they destroyed it with the newest version. Drive pooling and the ability to select what data you want mirrored across however many drives you have.
