So i have a 8 minute HD video im working on. This morning my rendering has totally stopped working. I can not get anything to render and as a result everything is slow. It took over a hour to even export the movie just so i could see it but it failed near the end. I am at my wits end with this (I hate FCPX sometimes). Anybody got any suggestions what the problem could be????

Check out Creativecow.net.
Someone there had the same prob and it was a matter of deleting prefs (plist).

I guess for starters check your hard-drive space on whatever drive your rendering too.
Also check permissions on that drive.
Your lucky, Ive seen this happen way back on 10.0.0 and I lost the project as well.
What version are you running? Check all updates and OS as well.

I'm still running 0.0, and have the same problem. Restarting FCP X has helped me every time so far. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I know... with our third world internet speed it'd take a day, and I haven't found the time yet. Both of my machines run basically 24/7 in production right now.

ive got a top notch high end 2011 imac and it takes ages to render a star wars themed intro text :/ and i thought fcx had 'all new rendering'. Pah!

How many characters? What font? And exactly where is the slow down?
