Recently during a regular update, my Iphone 3gs turned off and would not turn on. I have tried everything to fix it but my power button no longer functions rendering putting the phone in dfu mode impossible (?). This morning I connected it to itunes on my mac and it read! But when i tried to click restore it disappeared and would no longer show up in the list.

My pc's and mac will not detect the iphone and I can not put it in dfu mode.

Is their a way to put the iphone in dfu mode or some how use a program that will detect the iphone and create a way for me to restore it.

Thanks in advance.

(I've already tried redsn0w, tinyumbrella, Dr.Fone and nothing can detect it or requires dfu mode.)

Sorry I'm not au fait with that aspect of iPhone.

All I need is a way to put it in dfu mode and i'm golden. Can anyone offer any help...please? 😕

I really don't want this iphone to become a paperweight : /
