The human brain is a very clever, albeit annoying at times. Feelings or emotions can and will manifest as physical symptoms if you let them.

Devious, more like. I had major surgery a bit over a year ago for one of the big brand-name diseases. Physically, I was in pretty good shape within a few months. Emotionally is another story. Even though you believe you're feeling fine and increasingly optimistic about your future, some part of that devious subconscious mind of yours is planning to play a few dirty tricks on you, such as turning sleep into a challenge, or making you cope with little, unexplainable physical ailments. The mind is a very mysterious thing. We have very little control over a very large part of it.
 
Good luck with the blood tests. If you feel comfortable with it, let us know the outcome. If there should be something out of balance, I or one of my colleagues may be able to add to your M.D.'s explanation.
