Need help burning a DVD

If I just copy the short movies to a burn folder & burn it to a blank disc will I be able to play it on any dvd player/TV? Sorry for the total noobish question.

no, that won't work... you'll have to use iDVD or Toast or any other DVD authoring program.
btw, if these videos were purchased through iTunes, you cannot burn them to DVD.
