As I stated I'm going back and forth deciding should i go with the Ipad 1, or Ipod touch 4g? Have in mind i do not play games much, so the size difference isn't a big factor to me, its more about the specs, and value for my buck.
I know the 5th gen touch will come out sooner or later, and the ipad 2 didn't impress me at all just $100 difference for the up grade. so what do you guys think, ipod touch 4g, ipad 1, or ipad 2?:)

get the ipad 2. itouch is just a glorified shrunken version of an ipad

It really all depends on what you're going to use it for. I just got an iPad 1 a few hours ago and I'm totally in love with this thing!

Best Screen - iPod Touch 4
except for screen size and 3G option, the Touch4G screen bests the iPad.
I've had all 3 devices and the 4G Touch's thinness, portability, HD recording, and amazing Hi-Res screen are stunning. I just got a 4mo old 32gb Touch4 off craiglslist for $200, complete and prisitine.

I love my iPad2, but in some mobile situations I'd rather whip out the Touch than the iPad. Maybe since I already had an iPad for a year it's no longer as new or exciting to me, but I'm loving the clearer and better color screen on the Touch for now.

apples and oranges

This.

I have an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2 and I have two separate types of Apps on both devices and I use them both for two different tasks.

I know the 5th gen touch will come out sooner or later, and the ipad 2 didn't impress me at all just $100 difference for the up grade.

Based on past releases, the 5th Generation iPod touch is more likely to be released this fall (6 months from now) and so if you feel like waiting that is fine, but I don't see how the iPad is a $100 different than an iPod touch?

If your comparing it by specs, A 32GB iPod touch is $299 and a 32GB iPad is $599 ($300 difference). A 64GB iPod touch is $399 and a 16GB iPad is $499 (not a fair comparison).

You also said that you want more bang for your buck based on specs, well the iPad 2 does have Apples newest A5 dual core processor with 512MB Ram and a 10 hour battery life, the 4th Generation iPod touch has Apple's older A4 processor, 256MB Ram and a 7 hour batter life (I am comparing both devices that are currently on the market, not on rumored specs of an unreleased device).
