A quick search found a mention of some freebies:

but one involves terminal command line commands. You can really mess up your system if you make even a small typing error using Unix disk commands.

Personally I use Paragon NTFS. Includes it's own Disk Utility equivalent for creating and sizing partitions. If I'm messing around with a filesystem I want to know that the software is rock solid, and that it isn't going to have any effect on my existing filesystem types. They also have excellent support if you run into a problem. If you get a freebie support can be problematic.
