I was watching a tv show and there was a segment about a small product that allowed several computers to get internet through wireless wifi from it and was ideal for laptops out in the field or on holiday.
It was palm sized and did not have to be connected to any computer to work, but I assume that it would need at least power from somewhere.
I can't find the product and don't know what it's called, but it was about £60.
Can anyone please advise on how to find out more about this?

Sounds like your talking about a Mifi. A portable 3G modem that can share internet access over wifi to 5 devices at a time.

Currently in the UK the only provider of Mifis are 3. They sell it for around £50 on PAYAG or free with a contract.
