The Radeon 9600 that was in my G5 died (yes, I've done everything to make sure its the card), and I am wondering where other than Apple I can buy a replacement. I'd really like to get a 9800 but the ones Apple sells require the extra power connector. If possible I'd like to save a little money too. Can anyone out there point me in the right direction?

I think there are certain PC cards that you can Flash the RAM on and have it work on the Mac, but I'm not sure what cards these are. Try xlr8yourmac for info on the cards that can have that done. The Mac edition 9800 cards that you'd get direct from ATI also require a power connector so I beleive that for the Mac edition it's a necesity.

Ok, nevermind

I went on ebay and bought an Nvidia FX5200 for $50. I'm not in the mood to pay Apple a ton for a replacement 9600 or 9800 and I cannot afford the X800/Nvidia 6800.
