Hello all,
I just bought stronghold crusader 2 at walmart.
only problem i have a mac,
which is
a

macbook pro,8.1 early 2011 i5 cpu ,200 odd free space, 4gb ram, its not so much the requirements its more on how to set up a WINE whatever certain way you need to for it to run smoothly

Im brand new to WINES and WINEBOTTLER

i have the latest installed, i tried to go with WINEBOTTLE and copy the whole disk into an APP that the WINEBOTTLER creates

well for some odd reason it won't let with me WINEBOTTLER, but if i just click open on the setup.exe for the disc, it says open with wine or create an app with wine bottler,
it won't let me use winebottler, so i just used wine, it copied it, installed, and even boot up all the way i could navigate the main menu of the game
where it gets annoying is where as soon as i pick any mission ( i tried picking 3 or 4) the game loads and once it gets to the tipppppp top of the loading bar it shuts off :( i don't know why please help me someone ill be active on my responses to ensure you use the least amount of your time possible. THANK YOU for real.

Long story short. Wine is not good at running games.
I dont know much about Stronghold Crusader 2, but I would like to install Windows 7 on Mac specifically for gaming.

i just don't have a license, or anything like that. Im pretty decent with virtual box so i know i can set that up easily, but you have to pay to still use windows right

I agree for the best possible compatibility and performance you should run Windows natively for gaming, if possible.

But if you really want to use WINE, any app you want to run in WINE you should check in Wine's app database first to make sure it works before you buy it. It looks like you are lucky at it has a gold rating. See the notes about getting it running:
