I have done this a million times before, making me wonder if there is a limit to the number of photos that you can have in your library?
(Currently, 24,637 photos)

System: just upgraded to iLife '09
Mac Version 10.5.6

Same camera, same process...
But won't import photos as it says there are issues writing to my iPhoto library.

Any ideas?
Any one else come across this?
Thanks!

iPhoto doesn't have a hard limit on the number of photos its library can hold, as far as I am aware. However, other issues may be to blame for the problems you're having. Two common causes, both easy to overlook, are:
  • Do you have write permission for the iPhoto Library?
  • Do you have enough free disk space for the photos?

Yes, i have write permission.
I have uploaded photos and it has worked fine since i upgraded.

I do have over 8GB of space on the HD.

Attempting to do a manual import at the moment...

Thanks!
