When ever I try and upload a video to my ipod it makes me convert it to ipod format. But when I play it on my ipod the video is just black? The file is an mp4 so it should work. Any help?

well i was new to ipod touch and found out it only reads standard def. maybe thats that problem because i had a hd show and it plays white screen.
