I'm looking for help. I just received an iBook G3 and I'm trying to identify it (so that I can buy a new battery). I believe it is a late 2002/early 2003 model. It has:

    CPU: PowerPC 750 (2.3)
    CPU Speed: 800 Mhz
Video: ATI RageM7 32 MB VRAM
the audio connector is gray, not metal

Let me know what else you need. Thanks!

Looks like either this or this.

If it's 14" then it's Late 2002 (my first Mac!)
12" with Combo drive is Late 2002.
    12" CD-ROM is Early 2003.

Putting in your serial number at this site will tell you what model/year it is :) (hopefully it includes iBooks, as I haven't tested that)

I just did that for my blackbook and it said it was made 2 months after I got it.
