Following on from this thread, which I think I placed in the wrong forum judging from the lack of help...

Anyway, all I require is for someone to tell me what this part of the iMac G3 does?

Looks like the power supply unit (PSU) to me...pretty self-explanatory. Is there a plug in the back? I can't tell from the photo.
