I have been have trouble installing Leopard on my Macbook, included is a copy of the installer log (errors only).

http://www.4shared.com/file/55147396/d2ce4e4f/Installer

I have tried installing it about 10 times or so but it has resulted in failure every time. I remember have similar problems with Tiger and it took me about 20 tries to install Leopard when it first came out (same method each time). I don't know why it worked all of a sudden. Perhaps I have a hard drive failure?

Any comments and suggestions are appreciated.

Thanks.

First things first -- restart the machine from the OSX DVD (hold the "C" key down through startup)

Then instead of going into the Installer, choose Utilities from the menu at the top, then Disk Utility

CHoose your hard drive volume on the left, and do a Repair Disk.

What happens?

"The volume Macintosh HD appears to be OK"

That is why I don't understand why it does not install properly. It isn't my install DVD because I have tried using another friend's, and I have had similar problems in the past with Tiger. I suspect a hardware failure? I brought it into my local Apple retailer and they said there was nothing wrong with the memory... but they did not check the hard drive.
