I re-installed Office 2004 recently in my MacBook Mac OS X version 10.4.11. I am the registered owner. Both Word and Excel started acting up recently, likely due to opening contaminated Word and Excel documents. After the re-installation, the icons appeared in the dock. Next, I updated MS. I got an error message, then noticed that the Entourage icon is now a Question mark. When I re-open a Word document, it is unreadable. Ditto for Excel. I had also deleted MS User update before the installation. What step did I miss in the installation? Why is the System Preference all messed up when I restart the MacBook?
