NEED HELP!! Installing os x snow leopard on macbook 3.1 previous 10.5.8

ive read that this is not possible but person helping me in mac store said it is as well. Every time I put it in it ejects. Tried remote install and that didnt work.

macbook has 2.2 ghz intel core 2 dou with 1 gb 667 mhz

Ive also read it is do able Please advise
