I have a burned tiger dvd. I stick it in, and click install, prompts for reboot, then never resumes after the reboot. I have seen on here about holding down c key, but that doesnt work either. I also changed the start up disk to the install disc, but still nothing. Oh, I currently have 10.3.9

No, the fact that you are using a burned Tiger dvd for your installation.
It could be a bad burn, the disk may be damaged, etc.
I suggest using the original Tiger install dvd.

And make sure that the original DVD is a retail version to. If it says anything about System Restore on it then it shan't work properly. 🙁

you can't just do a straight disc copy burn of system discs with X (like you could for OS9) - there needs to be a boot partition on the disc as well as the system partition. it can be done but i'd say it probably hasn't been in this case.

and don't get an Upgrade copy either unless you really enjoy installing twice on those exciting occasions when a complete re-install is neccessary..
