I want to install Windows 7 through bootcamp to play The Old Republic. Just want to make sure that I have all the info down right.

Here's what I have:

Macbook Pro 13 inch 2011
2.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor
500GB 5400-rpm hard drive
Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 384MB DDR3 SDRAM shared with main memory

All I need is a full version of Windows 7, a copy of the game, and bootcamp.

On Apples website it says I also need "A Mac OS X version 10.6 installation disc"
Do I need to buy this because it did not come with my mac?

Heres the guide i was planning on going off of.

Only reason you would need the install disc is for the bootcamp drivers. But Apple now offers the option to download them to a flash drive or burn to a CD when setting up the partition. That manual must be out of date.

Are you running Lion and it's asking for 10.6? That would be weird.

I am running lion.

I actually haven't bought Windows 7 or Star Wars yet.

I just wanted to make sure that I understood everything 100% before I bought them.

So it will ask me for the drivers and I am to download them onto a usb flash drive or burn them onto a cd.

Also I read in another post that partitioning 150gb was a good idea to play The Old Republic. Can someone confirm?

Thanks again for the help. I just bought my Mac about a month ago so i'm pretty new to this and about a week ago a friend showed me the trailers to The Old Republic and now I'm hyped up to play this.

In the Utilities folder in the Applications folder, there is an app called Bootcamp Assistant. This will walk you through creating the partition, and this is also where it will ask you to insert a USB drive or a CD to write the Windows drivers to.

You'll just need a copy of Windows and the game after that.

I`m in the same situation as you, I need a disk. I think I did it before, but I don`t remember how or where I put it. I want to play swtor.

Awesome thanks!

So a copy of windows 7 64 bit, copy of the old republic, and a usb or cd is all I need?

Looks like i'm all set. Guess i'll go buy it tomorrow.
