Need help jailbreaking iPhone 3GS 3.1.2

I just bought a new iPhone 3GS, what jailbreaking software should I use so that I can install applications and games? I don't want to unlock my phone, just jailbreak it.

Be aware that if your phone has the new version of iBoot you will have a tethered jailbreak. Read more about it here.
