Need help making a memorial slideshow dvd

Hello everyone,

My father in law passed away recently. I'm in charge of making a dvd slideshow to show to his funeral service. I don't know where to start and I have a week to make it happen. Can anyone suggest a good software for me to get that is user friendly but also produces a good result? Will need to play music while the slideshow is playing. Thank you everyone for your help.

You can do this in iPhoto. Make the slideshow, add some music and export it as a movie file. If you still have iDVD, you can then turn that movie file into a dvd. If you don't have iDVD, try the free Burn:

Just make sure that you choose a Video DVD.

If you want more flexibility with adding music, then use iMovie.

I have a few pics which will require multiple songs. Do I add songs first before adding the pics?

You can't add music without first putting some video/photos into a Project, so in answer to that question; no you can't.

Also, when you add a music track, it won't extend/play past the last photo. If the music stops short at the end, then you have to extend the length of time that the photos show to match the length of the music. If you get what I mean.
