I've got a Kingston SSD (128 GIG) installed on my Mid-2010 13" Macbook Pro and for some reason I am unable to reformat it! I know that there are other options, but I would like to just start over and "begin anew". If there is anybody with prior experience in the subject and is willing to help it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

can u boot up ur mbp with the mac os x install disk and open disk utilities?

that would be the easiest/quickest formatting option.

I can't definitely try that, thank you! I'll let you know if this works, although I'll be booting up with OSX Lion from an external HD

Once it boots, go through the process and make sure your drive shows up as an installable drive, then back out to main page to use Disk Utility.

I say this because I've had it before where it says "Try reinstalling" right away after booting up. So make sure you can proceed before wiping your drive.
