Need help regarding the Trash on OSX Leopard

So my friend replaced his internal hard drive on his dell and he used my external hard drive to save files he needed. Well, he also put some windows files of some sort on there and now i can't empty it out of my trash. Any ideas?

Hold option then delete. It will force delete.

i tried and it didn't work. i'm the admin and it says i don't have sufficient privileges to delete it.

Put this in terminal:

rm -rf ~/.Trash/*
