I've managed to create 3 or 4 multipiles of my music collection for some albums or songs at the file system level.

I think this is a result of iTunes by default having "manage music" enabled.

As a result, I now have a folder structure that consist of Artist Name, Album Name. Then in the Album name folder exist the MP3 files of that album.

In most cases I now have something like this...

01 - Mary Had A Little Lamb.MP3
01 - Mary Had A Little Lamb1.MP3
01 - Mary Had A Little Lamb2.MP3
01 - Mary Had A Little Lamb3.MP3
01 - Mary Had A Little Lamb4.MP3
02 - Old McDonald Had A Farm.MP3
02 - Old McDonald Had A Farm1.MP3
02 - Old McDonald Had A Farm2.MP3
02 - Old McDonald Had A Farm3.MP3
02 - Old McDonald Had A Farm4.MP3

Etc...

Now I want to get rid of all the duplicates and leave only the files that don't end in a appended number.

I tried an app by the name of "TidySongs" and it says it's finding and removing the duplicates, but it doesn't seem to do any actual removal even though it says it is.

Does anyone have any solutions for how I can get things cleaned up that doesn't involve going one by one to each file?
