Need help setting up Mac/iOS devices..

I currently have a MBP, iPad2, ATV2 and soon to get a iPhone5 and iMac.

The MBP and iPad are the "family's" for general use and obviously travel companions.

I currently have one iTunes(xxx@gmail.com) and one mobile me account (xxx@me.com). How can I set up my devices so that I can iMessage/Facetime when away from home (iPhone -> MBP or iPad). I assume I need to create a new account JUST for my iPhone?
