Hey guys, I recently got a 1.5 tb wd external drive and want to backup with it.

What I can't figure out is if you can hook up the external drive via usb to our home pc, and then backup to that drive from my macbook wirelessly.

I don't think it can be done so my alternative is to make 2 partition. 1 being the size of my macbook hard drive and 1 with the rest available. Thanks for the help everyone :)
