Well thanks for the input I've decided not to get a watch. I haven't been wearing a watch for the past few months and I haven't needed to check the time often. I'll probably go and buy one from China when I go over there for exchange but atm I guess I don't need to splash the cash.

Btw something completely irrelevant West Ham should be docked points!

If you save a bit of money you can go a little more midrange and get a very nice Tissot watch. Check out the catalog (paper better than web). There are some very nice mechanicals. They also have some very sophisticated quartz watches for those into tech. And some excellent lady watches too.
