Hello. My spouse found an Ipod Touch in lost and found at a local hotel where she works. The Pod was dead. I charged it. Turned it back on. The Pod was in recovery mode. Reset to original set up following standard procedure. Reset appears to be succesfull. Back to slide to unlock screen. I cannot go any further. No screen asking password code, however, there is a small lock icon, center-top screen. The slider doest not appear to be working. Is it still locked or what? Can anyone help or is the Pod no longer usuable. Cheers.

Which iPod? Is it on iOS 10? iOS 10 doesn't have slide to unlock. This site should help you identify it: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT204217

If it doesn't respond when trying to swipe then the touch functionality is probably broken. The iPod touch 2G is considered "vintage" by Apple so I'm not sure they would be willing to fix it (unless you live in California). You might be able to get it fixed somewhere else but unless you just want the built-in apps it might not be worth it because app support for iOS 4 isn't very good these days.
