My Mail application has been running slow so I wanted to Rebuild my mailboxes. During the rebuild of one of the largest mailboxes the Mail application unexpectantly quit. When I relaunched the Mail application all emails in that folder have disappeared. Not in the trash or moved to another folder.

How can I restore either that mailbox or all the mailboxes with Time Machine? Running Mail 16.0 on Sonoma 14.7.

I just decided to do a total Restore from the last backup, an hour before the mail fiasco and it brought me back to where I was.

I was expecting it to take hours..nope took about 5 minutes and my MBP rebooted and everything was good to go. Seemed like Time Machine only restored was was necessary instead of the whole hard drive.
