    Hi,

my audio interface (Focusrite Saffire 24 pro) seems to need a texas instrument firewire chipset to work correctly (at least with my windows bootcamped partition), and it looks like it's not the only one, according to RME's forumers, gearslutz, and tascam's and digidesign etc...

sad that apple still didn't take this in consideration, since it is known for a years now, and they still sell their laptops with crappy lsi (ex-agere) chipsets that doesn't work under windows..

my question is : what adapter can I use, the cheapest but more reliable solution is the best, of course.

-one talked about this express card, http://www.sonnettech.com/product/fwusbexpresscard34 then I need another adapter for it ? (thunderbolt ?)
-or a firewire repeater / hub like Lindy
    -is there a usb3 solution ?

I just broke the piggy bank and bought the mbp to not worry anymore about such hardware issue, and start thinking about music..

    thank you in advance,

I've got the same audio interface as you do, and I've never had trouble running it under OS X. Never tried it on windows though.
