I need to hook up an EEG into my powerbook g4, but the plug is a female plug with 9 pins (not sticking out, because it's female). I don't exactly know what's it's called, I think a DB9, but there is no plug that I can plug it into. So I need a male plug (with 9 pins sticking out) that can convert the 9 pin into something that can be plugged into a powerbook g4. Does apple sell anything that can help me?

As far as I know, no. However, an easier way to do this would to be to simply buy a 9 pin FireWire cable. As far as I know, most FireWire cables are male on both ends and would fulfill your purpose of converting a female connector to a male one.

I like 2 pin females myself, the 9 pin versions are too much like mutant spiders for my taste.
