So I changed the icon of iCal in my dock using CandyBar, and shortly after realized that when I opened the app, the original icon was displayed (along with the number of the day over it). I was able to change it so that the original icon is no longer displayed (by changing App-empty.icns), but now the number of the day still shows. I can now do one of two things.. the icon that I am now using is such that if I remove the orignal date number on it, the day will display perfectly on it when I open the application. Or, I can somehow disable the day from displaying when the application is opened. Does anyone know how to do either of these things (graphically edit an icon, or disable the day from showing when iCal is opened)?

Well changing the iCal icon to stay the same when you open the program HAS been done, but from what I read about it, it's a very painful process and almost not worth it.
