Need help with a video

I've downloaded an .avi video and can't get it to play. QuickTime says there's an error in the program, MPlayer closes the file as soon as I try to play it, and VLC says it can't find a codec for fourcc code "undf". I have the latest versions of all those players, on OS 10.2.8.

Any ideas?

get DivX

It worked for me once... hope you get it too...

Use DivX Doctor, and get the DivX codec. http://www.versiontracker.com will be the easiest way.

I have DivX and 3ivx, and it doesn't play. After further investigation I discovered that it's a Matroska file, which I had never heard of beforehand, and I managed to get it to play eventually.

Put then came the curse of P2P - it's got the wrong filename and isn't the movie I wanted
