I need help with a weird request, I am looking for the Empire State Building from the Dept 56 Christmas in the City series. I have found two auctions on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/Dept-56-CIC-Emp...ultDomain_0&hash=item5886d9666c#ht_798wt_1141 and http://cgi.ebay.com/Brand-New-Box-D...ultDomain_0&hash=item230ed9eda2#ht_500wt_1156 but they want $400 for it. The original price was $185 and is still available in some smaller shops that deal in Dept 56. I called around to all the shops by me but they all are sold out mostly recently. Does anyone know of a place I can get this at a more reasonable price? Thanks.

Sorry I can't really help you with that one, but I have to say - that looks really cool! Especially when it is lit. I would buy one. But ~$500 is a lot! I mean an iPad is pretty cool too, right?

They are cool. My family and I have a few sets of the original Christmas in the City buildings and have decided to add on to our collections and we all agreed this was the coolest. Will post back if I find any.
found a broken ish one. Could be ok. still really expensive though. It looks to be discontinued and pretty tough to find. I'd take a step back and think if you really need it. 300 for a broken anything is a lot of money in my opinion but good luck
