Hi all,

I just got my iMac back from my HDD crashing. I had an older backup but still lost some documents, pictures, and e-mails. Nothing life threatening so I'm fine with it but I would like to come up with a strategy for the future. I've got a Guardian Maximus on order and 2 1TB WD hard drives. I was thinking of moving my music, pictures, documents, and Entourage database to the EHD since it would be RAID 1. That would also allow my MacBook Pro to access the music, pictures, and documents. I would also use CCC to clone my internal HDD. When I added software or there were software updates, I would update my CCC clone.

Here are my questions. Does this sound like a good plan or am I missing something? How do I relocate my documents and pictures to the EHD (I've found things talking about Entourage and iTunes already)? Is there a better idea? I know Entourage and Time Machine don't play nice.

Thanks

Greg
