I want to put an back ground image in the center of the main body which will not scroll with the text. I once knew how to do that but I forgot!!! please give me the code and tell me where to stick it.

hmm well what I tend to do with alot of pages including:

is set the BG image to repeat in Y but not in X. Set the X to center and our good to go. I have no idea if this is of any help.
