Need help with external GPU

Anyone have experience with using a eGPU without an external monitor? Does it take a performance cut? This would be for a 2016 13” MBP

AFAIK the external GPU will only work with an external monitor.

Razer Core and Akito Node doesn't required external monitor. They can do built-in display while in Bootcamp.

For Mac OS, you can only use it for none gaming related without external monitor.
