iPod need help with importing CD

First off this is my first post here, and want to say thanks in advance if I get any answers.

So I have a new laptop with windows vista (hate it)......I have the latest i tunes installed, but when I try to import songs from a CD I get an error message
"error occured while converting the file "song title". An unknown error occured (-50)."

This happens on every CD I have tried to import, not cure if it is vista or maybe some built in protection that I dont knwo about to allow I tunes to run properly.

Any advice is greatly appreciated.
