My iPod Touch was working perfectly fine and then one day I woke up and the iTunes symbol with the USB under it that you get when you first buy an iPod touch. i was confused because I was listening to it the day before and now all the sudden this happened. So I plugged it in and it said it was in Recovery Mode. So I clicked restore and update just going with the flow and then, while it was at "verifying with Apple" Error 9 popped up, Error 9 says its a problem with the cord but I've tried over ten different usb cords on over 3 different computers... Its been stuck in this loop forever. Really want to get it out. If this saves anyone time I've never jail broken the iPod and all I know is that it is an iPod Touch 4th generation.

My first thought would be to get some compressed air and blast out the oak connector on the iPod. Maybe some lint is trapped in there.
