need help with lacie golden disk (about formatting)

i just bought the lacie golden disk external hard drive. to store all of my music movies pictures etc...(getting rid of my older ones). now what should i format it as? journaled or regular? im gonna def only use it for mac because it's never leaving my house. help?

Journal is preferred when you are going to run an OS off of the drive/

Regular would be your best option.

yeah journeled has to do with severs and stuff right?

does it help externals at all or no?

From what I said in my previous post, the only reason you would need to format as journalled is if you were going to run an operating system off of it.
